Day 22

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 3:56 pm

Hello!
Okay, it’s confession time!  Yes, I have been doing my daily challenge but I haven’t been liking it very much.  There… I said it…this yoga thing is really bugging me!  Talk about a challenge! I thought it would get easier if I did it every day and that I would gradually get used to it but it seems like it’s getting harder to do!  Does anyone else feel like that?

This is one of those times when having a coach can be really helpful.  Whenever you are trying something new and you start meeting up with resistance (“I don’t want to do it anymore, it’s too hard, I don’t feel like it, I’ll do it tomorrow…”) it usually means there is something important to take a look at in your life.  Happily, I have an appointment with my coach tomorrow and so I plan to bring it up to see what is in my way of enjoying this challenge.  For those of you who know me and/or have worked with me, you know that I’m all about joy and enjoying everything that you are doing so it has surprised me that I am not enjoying this daily yoga.  I love to do yoga otherwise so there is definitely something up with this….hhmmm – wonder what it is?!  Let me know if you have been struggling or if you have given up – as I told another challenger “just because you’ve missed a few days (or a week) doesn’t mean you can’t start back in today.”  I think it would be helpful for me to know if anyone else is struggling or maybe you’re all completely in the groove – and that would be great to hear too!  Challenge on!!

Day 21

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 3:45 pm

Hi!
Check!  Did my yoga and my flossing first thing this morning and it’s a good thing!  The rest of my day was crazy and if I hadn’t done it first thing, it might not have happened!

Day 19

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 2:27 pm

Hi!
My nephew arrived yesterday!  We have a new baby in the family and I am so lucky that I was here for the arrival (I am in B.C.)!  So, trying to fit in my 100 day challenge between hospital visits, walking the dog, looking after someone else’s house and fielding questions has been a definite challenge!  It  took 3 times as long to do my yoga today but luckiliy flossing can be done almost anytime!  This is definitely a challenge that I don’t mind working around!  Have a great day everyone!

Day 18

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 11:24 am

Hello!
Again I started my day with my yoga set and it’s a good thing because I went downhill skiing for the day.  Not only was I incredibily tired by the end of the day, I was pretty sore (I was skiing in the mountains and I wasn’t quite as conditioned for that as I had hoped!).  I was pretty happy not to have to do yoga at the end of this day!

Day 17

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 11:21 am

Hi!
I was able to start my day with yoga which always makes the challenge easier.  When I can do it first thing in the morning, then I don’t have to think about it all day and how I am going to fit it in.  I got to the end of the day and couldn’t remember if I had flossed so I flossed just in case!  So I’m not sure if I did it once or twice today – I guess it won’t hurt anything!

Day 16

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 1:34 pm

Hello!
Are you finding it hard to stay focused on your challenge?  This morning I was wandering all over the place and I was actually sitting on my yoga mat!  I had to keep dragging myself (my mind) back to the mat to do the next exercise.  I think that may be paralleling the other parts of my life right now too!  I have been a bit scattered with everything – probably because I just returned home from vacation and now I am traveling again (not vacation) so nothing has had a chance to settle yet.

I know that a few of you challengers out there are experiencing something similar so that confirms that the scatteredness and not being able to do your challenge everyday is part of the process.  Whenever you make a change in your life, it tends to shake things up and make life a bit uncomfortable (or alot uncomfortable!) but the key is to continue to “sit” with it until that part passes.  Don’t give up!  It’s a natural part of the process and the rewards will be great.  Remember, there is a whole group of us doing this challenge together so we have to keep going not only for our sake but for the energy of the group.  Have a great weekend – go challengers go!

Day 15

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 4:02 pm

Hello!
Well, I forgot to floss yesterday!  Apparently, its not becoming the habit that I thought it was!  Oh well, I will floss twice today and make up for it!  When I did my yoga this morning, I noticed that I was able to reach my toes in one particular exercise and that was pretty exciting!  I haven’t been able to do that yet – maybe this is a sign of more to come!  It’s interesting how progress oriented I can be.  Perhaps this was a very good choice for my challenge!  Have a great day – type to you tomorrow!

Day 14

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 8:03 pm

Hi!
I’m back at home and dragging myself out of a warm bed this morning after a late flight was a very big challenge.  Definitely not any easier this morning but I’m going to cut myself some slack and chalk it up to end of vacation weariness!  Flossing – still going smoothly!

Day 13

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 8:00 pm

Hello!
Well this is the last day of my holiday and I am heading back to the cold to do my yoga there!  I was up at 6:30 this morning to do it so that it was out of the way and I didn’t have to do it when I get home late tonight.  (and I think it would be way too challenging to do yoga on the plane)  The flossing I could do on the plane but thought I would save the people in the seats around me the unpleasantness!  We’ll see if my yoga gets any easier when I am back in my own environment.
