Day 44

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 9:11 pm

Hi!
It’s Good Friday today so I am taking the day off and so I didn’t start with my yoga as usual.  That made it harder to fit into the rest of the day so I think I am going to have to stick with first thing in the morning!  Luckily, flossing can be worked into almost any time during the day!

Day 43

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 9:40 pm

Hello again!
Okay, I made sure to do yoga and floss first thing this morning before anything else happened to distract me.  I had no idea it would be this hard to get into a habit of flossing!  But really, it’s hard to do!  I have a small wrestling match with my teeth everytime I floss and so I feel very justified in the fact that I used to only floss 3 or 4 times a year.  My teeth are very tightly packed in there and it’s hard to get the floss between my teeth and then when I do, I can’t get it out.  By the time I get it unstuck, I am drooling all over the place and it just becomes a big mess. It’s a really good thing that I don’t have to do it in public because I would definitely have less friends, clients and colleagues!  Ah, the things I do for healthy gums!  Have a great day!

Day 42

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 9:32 pm

Hi,
Okay, this was another crazy day and all day I kept thinking, remember to floss, remember to floss…and what did I do?  Everything else but floss!  Completely forgot!  (I’m writing this the next day, in case you are wondering …why doesn’t she just go and floss now?)  I guess I’ll have to floss twice another time this week!  One day at a time, one day at a time!

Day 41

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 9:28 pm

Good Day!
As I was doing my yoga this morning it occurred to me that this daily practice was the only consistant activity in my life lately.  Ever since this 100 Day Challenge started I have been busier than ever before!  Some days it seems like every conceivable thing is being thrown in my path and if it weren’t for this challenge, the yoga would be the first thing to go.  This is definitely a pattern that I see in many people that I coach, work and play with – when things get crazy the first thing to get thrown off the schedule is time for themselves.  This challenge is really bringing that to my attention. I am also seeing that by doing my yoga everyday – I really do have more energy available to me during the day and as busy as I am, I seem to be handling the increased workload with grace (except for the one day…when I had the little meltdown…(sorry, sweetie!)….).  Hhmmm..taking time for myself gives me more energy…I like it :)!

Day 40

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 8:28 pm

Wow!
Day 40!  Ten days away from being half way done!! 🙂  40 days is a signigicant number in many belief systems.  It is often seen that after 40 days there is restoration, renewal, rebirth and change.  What are you noticing after 40 days of this challenge?  Do you feel renewed or changed in any way?  I have certainly noticed some changes in my body and I think there is some potential for some changes in my thinking and in the way that I take care of myself.  I don’t about you but this challenge has been absolutely fascinating for me!  I hope you are seeing some cool things for yourself.  Have a great day!

Day 39

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 3:19 pm

Hi!
Well, I had lots of time today to do yoga – I didn’t have to be anywhere.  It’s interesting to me that I have a challenge with finding time for myself.  My yoga practice is about 45 minutes and it is hard to fit it into my day sometimes.  I thought I was pretty good at taking time for myself but when it comes to everyday I am apparently not as good at it as I thought!  Interesting….I wonder what the resistance is about.  Any of you have any thoughts?  Do you have trouble making time for you in your days?

Day 38

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 3:15 pm

Hi!
I had to get up extra early this morning to fit in the yoga.  I had an event that took the whole day and then I was lucky enough to be asked out for supper so I knew that if I didn’t start with yoga first thing, I wouldn’t fit it in later!  Have a good one!

Day 37

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 6:46 pm

Hi!
The pattern continues!  Three days in a row and I was able to go further into the pose (meaning that I could actually reach and hold onto my toes!).  My feet are moving closer to me, I think!  For those of you who have met me in person, you may have noticed that I am a tall person and if you were really paying attention, you would have noticed that I have unusually long legs!  So when I am trying to reach for my toes, they seem very far away except for these last three days!  This is very cool!  Hope you are seeing progress in your challenges!

Day 36

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 6:43 pm

Hello!
Well, those two poses I talked about yesterday … same result today!  I was able to go further!  Two days in a row – I detect a pattern emerging :)!  The flossing is the same – no further progress, just doing it every day!

Day 35

Filed under: 100 Day Challenge — Deb @ 9:22 pm

Hello!
I have exciting news!  As I was doing my yoga this morning I was able to move further into a couple of the poses!  This is probably more exciting for me than for anyone reading this!  Now maybe it was a fluke or I was particulary bendy today – who knows.  Time will tell – if I can do it again tomorrow I just might be getting more flexible.  Wow, that would be cool!
