The 12th Day of Joyful Reconnection!

I am Worthy!  When I drew this card the first thought I had was…”I am worthy of diamonds!”  Then I continued to follow the thought – what do diamonds represent to me?  Hhmm…for me, they represent beauty and love.  Beauty and love are the essence of this holiday season for me.  I am certainly worthy of beauty and love!

During these last twelve days, I hope that you have been able to see how you are worthy of beauty and love.  As you have reconnected with being valuable, zippy, daring, exceptional, focused, fulfilled, joyful, enough, juicy, grateful, unlimited and worthy I hope that you were able to create a new approach to a time of year that can pull you away from your center – your heart.  And all your heart wants you to know is that you are worthy of love!

As you go through this next week approaching the New Year, continue to use these words.  You can pick the ones you liked the most or maybe the ones that you needed the most – whatever feels right for you!  I wish for all of you a very light and joyous holiday season and a most delightful and delicious 2011!  (more words from the Reconnection deck!)

Joyfully,

Deb

The 11th Day of Joyful Reconnection

I am Unlimited!  This is a time of year where you can sometimes feel limited – not unlimited.  Limited patience, limited time, limited budget, limited space in your waistband!  The shift to being unlimited can be challenging and it is doable.  Start by entering your heart.  Your heart is your source of unlimited everything!  Patience, love, joy, courage, compassion, safety, creativity… the list is …well…unlimited!  You may be limited by the amount of money you can spend on a gift and you are unlimited in the amount of creativity you have to dream up a new way of giving.  You may be limited in the amount of time you have and you are unlimited in the amount of love you can share with family and friends.  You may be limited in patience and you are unlimited in the compassion you can have for those who are struggling to serve as many people as they can.

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the words with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Unlimited” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Unlimited!

Joyfully,

The 10th Day of Joyful Reconnection

I am Grateful!  We hear a lot about gratitude and how being grateful can make such a difference in your day to day activities.  We’re often told to make a list of all of the things that we have whether it’s relationships, opportunities or material possessions and review the list often, expressing our gratitude for each item. This exercise is one that I agree with whole heartedly and often use it myself or with my clients to help with a perspective shift.   My question is, can you be grateful for what you don’t have?  Can you be grateful for the challenges or small inconveniences that you might encounter at this time of year?  Can you be grateful that you have to stand in line (because it gives you a chance to stop, breathe into your body and check in with yourself and your needs)?  Can you be grateful that you weren’t able to get the “must have” toy this year (because you don’t have to be stressed about how you will pay the credit card bill when it arrives)?  Take some time everyday to express gratitude for all that you have – even the challenges and watch your energy and joy increase everyday!

When you say “I am Grateful” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Grateful – even for the things that might be difficult!

Joyfully,

Deb

The 9th Day of Joyful Reconnection

I am Juicy!  Ha!  The first thing that came to mind when I drew this card was a juicy turkey.  It’s just not the same when you serve something that is dry and brittle.  Has your holiday season become dry and brittle?  What would it take to make your day juicy? Here’s a little acronym that Nancy (my joyful assistant) and I came up with to help you use the word juicy today!

J – Jubilantly

U – Use

I – Intensity to

C – Celebrate

Y – Yourself

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the word with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Juicy” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Juicy!

The 8th Day of Joyful Reconnection!

I am Enough!  Woo…this word is a big one for me!  Being enough at any time of the year can be a challenge for me but the holiday season can certainly bring out a sense of “not enough” ness!  Being enough to me means that I don’t have to out do, give more, eat more, go to more parties, spend more money, etc.  I have enough food, I have baked enough, I have enough gifts to give….ahhh…I think this is my favorite word so far!

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the word with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Enough” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Enough!  And remember – YOU ARE ENOUGH

The 7th Day of Joyful Reconnection!

I am Joyful!  It’s interesting how easily we can forget to be joyful at this time of year.  We are bombarded with messages of joy and peace and all around us it is more like stress and chaos!  When you feel stress creeping into your body take a breath and shift your thoughts to joy.  Look carefully at the situation you are in and find the joy there.  The more you can focus on joyful moments, the more joyful moments you will have!

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the word with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Joyful” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Joyful!

The 6th Day of Joyful Reconnection!

I am Fulfilled!  Instead of operating from a belief (conscious or unconscious) that you are lacking or not enough shift your focus to all the ways that you are fulfilled.  Being fulfilled already leaves you free to enjoy what you have instead of worrying about what you don’t have.

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the words with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Fulfilled” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Fulfilled!

The 5th Day of Joyful Reconnection

I am Focused!  Being focused at this holiday time can be a real boost to your energy and joy.  Make a plan, set a budget and then stick to it.  When you find yourself wandering around, getting distracted by the sparkly things (as I often am) catch yourself, enjoy the moment and then refocus.  You’ll feel better for it!

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the words with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Focused” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Focused!

The 4th Day of Joyful Reconnection

I am Exceptional!  This word can evoke ideas of having to go above and beyond but for me, being exceptional also means that I don’t have to be like everyone else.  I can choose to not be influenced or pressured by what everyone else is doing.  I can choose actions that are an “exception” to what is happening around me.

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the words with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Exceptional” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Exceptional!

The 3rd Day of Joyful Reconnection!

I am Daring!  What would you do this holiday season that you wouldn’t normally do?  Would you dare to wear something bold and sparkly?  Would you dare to set your boundaries and say “no” to an invitation from a family member?  Would you dare to bake one kind of cookie instead of 10?  Ooohh, the possibilities of being daring!

Repeat this word to yourself as you go through your day today and be sure to share the words with your friends, family and colleagues.  When you say “I am Daring” what comes to mind for you?  What does this word mean to you?  Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Daring!

Joyfully,

Deb
