The 10th Day of Joyful Reconnection
I am Grateful! We hear a lot about gratitude and how being grateful can make such a difference in your day to day activities. We’re often told to make a list of all of the things that we have whether it’s relationships, opportunities or material possessions and review the list often, expressing our gratitude for each item. This exercise is one that I agree with whole heartedly and often use it myself or with my clients to help with a perspective shift. My question is, can you be grateful for what you don’t have? Can you be grateful for the challenges or small inconveniences that you might encounter at this time of year? Can you be grateful that you have to stand in line (because it gives you a chance to stop, breathe into your body and check in with yourself and your needs)? Can you be grateful that you weren’t able to get the “must have” toy this year (because you don’t have to be stressed about how you will pay the credit card bill when it arrives)? Take some time everyday to express gratitude for all that you have – even the challenges and watch your energy and joy increase everyday!
When you say “I am Grateful” what comes to mind for you? What does this word mean to you? Let me know what your comments and experiences are of being Grateful – even for the things that might be difficult!
Joyfully,
Deb
